New Home - Fairhaven
This extension renovation was unique in that the client’s father built the house himself in the early 1970’s and we needed to retain the existing house identity, whilst restoring the existing structure and constructing a new steel cantilevered balcony.
Some of the features of the build included the galvanised dipped flat black structural steel creating the cantilevered balcony that gives the building is shape and form. The combination of fire-resistant timbers such as blackbutt, silver-top ash, spotted gum and merbau give the house its colour and warm homely feel. This was one of our favorite builds having been heavily involved in the specification and selection of various design elements and materials.
