New Home - South Yarra

This building was a new home from the ground up. Situated on a tight block in South Yarra, it required some thought in the management of space/materials and construction techniques used to build up over three stories. This is a modern house with a mix of interesting features, including a steel cantilevered staircase which we fabricated ourselves on site due to the tight access requirements. One of our favourite parts of this building is the open bluestone rooftop terrace with views of the city and parks below. One of the more technical solutions we devised was our European inspired waterproofing pedestal system used on the terrace to provide longer term serviceability and reliability to waterproofing membrane on the terrace.
